After three batches of interviews on three consecutive days with about twelve different people, I was told to expect an offer within a couple of days. The interviews had gone exceptionally well, so I was not surprised that they were planning on making an offer. I was also impressed by the people I had met, and so was inclined to accept any reasonable offer they sent over.
Two mornings later, on October 5th, I got this message from their H.R. department:
Good news! We are in the process of preparing an offer letter for you, andwe should have it to you by the end of the day.
Twenty-six days later, that offer letter is still sitting on someone’s desk in SoHo. Word on the street is that the developers met resistance from the money people. Today, I noticed that they have initiated major layoffs, so I don’t reckon the offer will ever get mailed.
