Since I am now in a blogging frame of mind, here is a little something I wrote for E back in December: the Luke 2 account of the incarnation, written using only words with three or fewer letters (a dialect known as MAD APE DEN)
One day, a big man did say to all: “you and kin are to go in, and we are to jot it on a rag.” It was the one “kin jot” he did ask for as Q. was guv. All did go in as he did say. Joe did go in to the den of his kin, “Rex of the Jew”. His gal, who he was to wed, did go too, and her gut was big due to her tot. And she did pop out the tot (she had not had one yet) and did put him in a big rag, and did lay him in a bad bed; no bed was for him in the inn.
Not far, men who had no hut did sit by a zoo set (one of the set is not a pet, but is for the men to eat). It was in the eve. An odd man of God did go to the men and a ray as if of God did go to the men too; it was as if it was day. The men did get shy. (“Are we to die?”) But the odd man of God did say: “Do not be shy! See, I am to say to you a ‘bon mot’ of big joy for all men. For you, a tot is in the den of “Rex of the Jew”; the tot is the big man of the Jew, the man who is of God. Go see it: a tot is in a big rag, and is in a bad bed.”
And pow! A lot of odd men of God did go by the odd man of God, and the odd men of God did say: “To God is due all in his hut in the sky, and in the hut of men no war for the men of God.”
The above was featured on Geeklife in January. A discussion ensued.
